The paths arranged for the discovery of Madeira without having to overcome any significant differences: passage by artistically modeled terraces, crossing of impressive gorges and valleys still intact with a subtropical vegetation with persistent leaves. This volcanic island, with its central massive of almost 1900 m altitude, also offers alpine hiking routes, such as the spectacular route fashioned in the rock that rises from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo - the royal hiking of the island.
