Guide to the trails of the Moroccan High Atlas which offers many circuits for vehicles 4 x 4.
The logical consequence of the wishes expressed by many followers of the hike 4x4, the new edition of Volume 1 of the Trails Guide of Morocco, devoted to the High Atlas, has been totally restructured.
The courses are now organized in large crossings (GT), loops and other courses that allow an optimal discovery of this beautiful high mountain region that constitutes the high atlas.
From Midelt, at the edge of the Middle Atlas, in Agadir, at the edge of the Atlantic and Essaouira in Gourama, 5 large crossings - two north - south and three east - west, exceeding 180 kilometers - are offered to DPM. Certainly, these long courses sometimes use short asphalt sectors. They are divided into several sections, according to possible stages, remarkable sites or places of accommodation. All depart and join important roads and localities in the area. Large areas of interest (Aït Bougmez, Tessaout, Assif Melloul, Imilchil, M'Goun ...) are of course crossed and described. The GT5, north - south crossed Azilal in Kelaâ des M'gouna, practicable since December 15, 2015, crossing the Aït Bougmez and crossing two columns fruiting the 3000 m altitude, 180 km long, is one of the Dream course of this new edition.
6 original loops of less than 100 km present the author's "favorites" in often well - known regions.
In addition, some small tracks of tracks and hiking from the route of Tounfite, in a wild, altitude region, allow the visit of sites to trace of dinosaurs or other topics of interest for amateurs. Finally, some routes from the previous edition, which have survived the proliferation of tar, often DPM courses of great interest, have been retained after verification.
